Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Glisso ("Glisso", "we", "us") governing your use of the Glisso website and app at glisso.net. By creating an account or using Glisso, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Glisso.

1. Who Can Use Glisso

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Glisso with the involvement of a parent, guardian, teacher, or school. Band directors who add students represent that they are authorized to do so and have obtained any consents required by law.

2. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
  • Provide accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date.
  • Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Glisso offers a free tier and paid "Virtuoso" subscriptions (including Personal and Director plans). The following terms apply to paid subscriptions:

  • Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose) through our payment processor, Stripe.
  • Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • Free trials. Some plans include a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the first billing period automatically.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal in the app. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription prices. If we do, we will give you advance notice, and changes apply to billing periods after the notice.
  • Director plans. Director subscriptions are billed per student seat with a minimum seat count. You are responsible for the number of seats you purchase. Adding or removing students may affect your billing as described at checkout and in the billing portal.

4. Refunds

Except where required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused time. If you believe you were charged in error, contact [email protected] and we will review it in good faith.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Glisso, you agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe others' rights.
  • Choose a display name or submit content that is offensive, harassing, impersonating, or otherwise inappropriate. We may change or remove such names.
  • Cheat, manipulate, or submit falsified scores to leaderboards, or otherwise interfere with fair play.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Glisso or its systems.
  • Share, resell, or misuse class codes, friend codes, or subscription access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. User Content

You are responsible for the content you provide, such as your display name. New accounts are assigned a neutral default display name (such as "Player-1234") until you choose your own. By setting a display name, you grant us permission to display it as part of the service — including on our public global and daily leaderboards, which are visible to all signed-in users, and on friend lists. Any name you choose is public, so do not use a name you wish to keep private.

7. Intellectual Property

Glisso, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Glisso for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Glisso without our permission.

8. Service Availability and Beta Features

Glisso is provided on an ongoing basis and may include beta or experimental features. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may experience downtime. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available or error-free.

9. Disclaimers

Glisso is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glisso and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Glisso. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using Glisso and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in San Luis Obispo County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of Glisso after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
