Instrument
Every fingering, transposition and range in the app follows this.
4th valve
Baritones, euphoniums and tubas that carry one. Adds the low register and the in-tune 4 / 2-4 fingerings.
Horn type
Which side your thumb is not holding. Standing in Bb reverses every trigger fingering; a single horn drops the other side entirely.
Tuba key
All four read the same concert-pitch bass clef, so only the fingerings change. The smaller horns need a 4th valve to reach the bottom of the staff.
Keybinds
Laptop users: some key combinations trigger keyboard ghosting, where they stop registering together. If a fingering never lands, rebind it.
Theme
Custom is a Virtuoso feature - pick your own accent, background, text and sheet-music colours.
Your colours
Your text and background are close in brightness, which can be hard to read.
Note sound
The metronome click has its own volume, in the tempo settings.
Wrong-note sound
The low buzz when you miss a note in Flashcards and Scales.
Always show fingerings
Valve numbers under every note, not just the ones you miss. Scale times aren’t recorded while this is on, and Time Attack ignores it.
Alternate fingerings
Other ways to reach the note that your chart doesn’t teach, most of which sound it sharp or flat. Scale times aren’t recorded on a run that used one.

Hides right/wrong colouring while you play. Your score still appears on the results screen.

Audio offset
Shifts the judging windows and the visuals (the scrolling score, the tempo pulse, the count-in) to match when you actually hear the beat, in Music, Sightreading, and Scales with auto-submit on. Raise it if your notes read late. Bluetooth headphones are routinely 100 to 300 ms behind.
